BMW e92 M3 competition
Hello everyone. First I will admit to not knowing about this forum but I was recommended it by @boba fett :)

Ive had my e92 M3 for about 18 months now, I came “backwards” from a 2018 M4CS and have absolutely no regrets. I had actually mentioned to my friend who is sales manager at my local BMW dealership if he ever got any nice e92’s in but it had to be a competition and a nice one. He said it was a long shot but imagine my suprise when literally 2 weeks afterwards someone traded one in for a new shape M135i !!! I went right in to see and drive it and was utterly sold, it was in exceptional condition and was just the right colour and spec for me too, especially with the silver 359M, and the buzz has never faded one bit. I’ve just been slowly improving it to my exacting standards by buying any new parts that had slight marks on them. I also had an MPE fitted before I picked it up which along with Eventuri plenum sounds absolutely amazing!!

Looking forwards to posting here :)

Hi Colin - Its great you joined mate and your car is a stunner, its as near new as you can get I should imagine.

Loved your others cars, CS and Fire orange, so we need some pictures of those as well please, but you cannot beat a V8!

Thanks Lee! It’s getting there, I have just bought a brand new centre console trim as the one on the car had the smallest of marks near the I drive controller, however I can’t bring myself to fit it yet, I’m happy just knowing it’s there and could be flawless, along with the new OEM mats I bought last year also in the spare room with a new inner boot trim lol.
I’ve got issues!!!

I think @moonstone needs to make a sticky build thread with this beauty, and I love all the attention to detail you do Col.

I've been doing similar to my Frozen Black, but the paintwork is not mint which is a shame, it's good, but not to my usual standards, no Frozens I looked for where, so I use it and I don't worry about it, and come sale time ill maybe have it repainted if its still reaching the silly prices I see these going for!

If I recall your farther had a very rare V8 as well?

Hi @C1CDG

Great to see you over here. I used to enjoy your posts on Cutters. Your car is an absolute stunner. There’s a lot to be said for having a more analogue car and making it flawless with adding new trim etc when needed.

In did the same with my M5. It came with a couple of scratches on the centre console and door trim as well a deep scratch on the shifter. Replacements were the first things I ordered!

It’s very hard to have mint paint on any used car, mine isn’t mint either, but for an 11 year old car it’s in very nice shape. Ideally it needs both lower side skirts repainted due to general chipping and rash, and perhaps the bonnet too, but I’m reluctant to do it as frankly it’s really not that bad and is in true keeping with the age of the car.. it’s a dilemma. Then you have worries of paint match too.. :(

Yes my dad still has his one of 10 M perf editions in frozen blue and also his 21k mile Z3M coupe.

Hi Moonstone!! Fun fact, the word moonstone is still censored on cutters lol! Every time someone mentioned that individual paint the word doesn’t show 😂😂

Thanks very much for the kind words! I recently drove the new G80 X drive for a few hours and while I was absolutely blown away with how good it was, there was no doubt in my mind when I got back in my own car that it just felt so much more special. It’s entirely down to that engine, the sound, the weight of the steering and just the overall size of the car.

Will have to check out the build thread on your M5! 😃😃

Welcome Colin,

No thread would be complete without some of your jumper pictures too ;)

Awesome, few bobs worth there. They have been enjoying some really healthy appreciation.

I remember when I kept saying the V8 was the best M3 on Cutters! Still think it is !

Your Dad is a very lucky and spoilt man!

Not only does he have a couple of holy grail BMWs but he has a son who appreciates his passion and has made it his own. Lucky fella.

To top it off, in a very un-Chris Rock kind of way, I bet your Mum is a right looker too!

Respect to your Dad, he’s doing alright.

lol. Yeah I’d heard that. I don’t really understand why to be honest. I think it’s because Suraj didn’t like people discussing my departure.
