It’s more of a drivers car than a Golf R! I wouldn’t have it if it wasn’t fun to drive.

I can see you in one mate!
Yes I almost bought a Nardo Grey TTRS a couple of years back.

I would like a 997 Turbo to be honest in that size of car.

I love them! I truly regret not buying a good mate of mines last year but hey ho.

I’ll be honest I’m keeping things sensible and cheap until the economic dust settles.

Ive had most of the 911 Turbos and You may very well remember my last one (997 Turbo) Modified and over 650bhp and 850Ft it was super bike quick but that did drive like a fast Golf and a really poor noise from in the cabin. Engineering excellence though and a proper weapon!

That’s identical to what I was offered £40k. I would have made decent money on it too.

TT TLC day,

Bought the service pack with the 25% discount, thanks CHE.
DSG service, Haldex service, new front right anti roll bar as a nice pothole bent it. Oh and had to fix a puncture too.

Just been driving in the snow on the main road and the car felt awful. There was a floaty, loose, side to side feeling. I thought it was in my head until the passenger commented on the same feeling.

The TTS is my first Quattro and all previous cars have been a mix of front and rear wheel drive. Driven quite a bit on snow over the years, so my driving style is cautious with light throttle and braking inputs.

It should be noted that the sensation was felt under steady throttle and not accelerating or braking.

Anyone else had this? Interested in your thoughts,

Denso

We only had a light smattering of snow today and I took the M5 out. Haven’t driven the TTS. What tyres do you have?

Continental SC6, it just felt weird the way it was driving. Its really difficult to explain the sensation.

Just checked tyres are between 4-4.5mm tread depth.

I had an r32 some years ago and it was pretty rubbish in the snow, i couldn’t even get up a pretty small incline, it just kept shifting power to different wheels without much effect. I put it down to haldex being quite limited although it may be much better on the new stuff. Doesn’t help much but I just wanted to concur I was disappointed by vag haldex👍

I think most cars are good fun in the snow, when else can you do 5 to 15 miles an hour power slides!

I would not be to worried about the floaty feeling mate, all cars are different in the snow.
