Ceramic coatings can be done as a DIY but best left to a detailer for proper results. There’s a bit more discussion on them here:

You are up early for a Sunday mate.

What did you do with your RRS?

Btw I bought one yesterday. Its just going through AUC prep at some point next week. So just waiting now.

Still in bed.... nursing a hangover!

Ive not done anything to it other than wash it and, de-tar and a dose of Bilt Hamber Touch-On.

Planning on giving it a light machine polish and a cost of Fusso 99 Wax nearer to the summer.

What did you go for in the end?

Ha fair enough! good evening then. I am at work.

Having read your post in the detailing thread I am not so sure now for ceramic coating. Will definitely do a correction on the paintwork though.

Ahh Stone I can't tell you. You will have to guess.

The choice was a culmination of advice from you, boba, stu and robin. ( apologies for all the stupid questions, and many thanks for your patience)

Congrats Schmeel, look forward to the pictures, you must be well excited ?
Very!

I started out on this journey with no idea whatsoever. I feel the car and the spec is gong to provide some genuine smiles per smiles.

Still have yet to drive one. However going by what everyone is saying they really are great cars.

Boba, what do you suggest for cleaning leather? Seeing everything from pear soap to dedicated re dye kits.

I have dr leather wipes at home, but ideally looking for a tried and tested suggestion to give everything a proper once over.

Hi mate, I use various products, Auto Finesse is good, even Simonize leather care, they all have similar results TBH, heating the leather to remove creases works but you have to be careful, Colourlock Leather Dye (its the same as Swissvax but a quarter the price) is very good for doing a half decent job of re-dying wear on a Bolster. Steam looks good as well to bring up leather and that nice Matt look (I am buying a Karcher thanks to Moonstones results)

Then you have the professional. I know a guy Furlongers use, and he can repair any seat, scratch, or trim issue, and god he is good. He can make a seat look OEM brand new. He mixes up his own colour match, and most of his time is taken up with older Supercars.

I recommend these by the way. Make the car smell lush.

As its AUC, there's not much to worry about in terms of making sure things work etc as its all covered under warranty I suppose. Just the usual checks on bodywork and wheels and make sure everything works.

Make sure you get lots of nice photos and your write-up in the Evo Competition!

By the way, I ditched the Faraday pouches and bought one of these:

Hey Bud,

Those pouches look epic! I got the bog standard carbon effect ones for now. They are ok I guess. Nothing special.

It was such a bonkers day, Left at 4am, got home at 8pm. Then next day was had to deal with some unexpected issues at work.

Here is one I got whilst I was waiting for the insurance to get sorted.

Its a dynamic with some nice options:

22's, Sliding pan roof, configurable ambient lighting (very nice at night time)

The two which are my favourite. the PIXEL Led's are unreal at night time. Super fast to react and the road is illuminated for hundreds of metres. The 360 cams, these are excellent, with pin sharp clarity with I think 8 diff angles.

Main thing for me was (hopefully) care free motoring. With MOT, Service and new pads being done. With the all important MD warranty.

Condition is really exceptional ( for a AUC car). Even the piano black trim inside is mint. Build quality is amazinq. No squeaks, creaks etc. The infotainment and screens are slick, quick and pin sharp.

Once I machine it over and put some ceramic on ( ordered the g techniq).

I will do a full write up with some quality pics with the DSLR.

That looks fantastic, quite jealous of the rear end, as it’s a big difference from ours and the silly pea shooter exhausts.

Sounds lovely as well, with some nice goodies, looking forward to more shots and the write up.

Thanks bud. I know its boring black, but being a daily it sort of has to be low key. Contrasts well with the ivory interior.

My fav "out there" colour is the Byron Blue. In the flesh it looks immense.

I have to say thanks to you guys for pushing me to go for the Dynamic, it corners so flat at some very respectable speeds. The ride height is quite an experience.

I see what peoples love with RRS is all about now.
