Still persevering with the Snow foam!! but gave the M3 a good going over, had quite a lot of bird poo on and it did come off with the foam and Surfex HD, but the car was heavily sealed.

Car looks so much more Matte with nothing on it and panel wiped down!

But I need to look after it and ensure its sealed and protected, and you can see it ads gloss, but that's fine with me!

All done..

I have not tried that one but I have tried a couple of others and I have found them a bit smeary and inconsistent. Anything other than a perfect consistent coat shows up quiet a lot on this matte black and makes it look like you have not buffed it off properly.

I have found on forums that it differs from one specialist to another, some say run the bearings in and some say there is no need! I have the BE uprated bearings and ARP bolts not sure if that makes a difference over other bearings and bolts.

Anyway my specialist wanted them run in keeping below 3750 for 500 miles then increasing the revs until a 1000 miles for which an oil service needs to be done. Overkill? Dunno? maybe!

The running in lark is no fun and its taken me nearly 8 months to do the 1000 miles and I have just had the oil service done! running in has been a chore and what can only be described as an economy run when 50 miles felt like an eternity.

Anyway its all locked and loaded and ready for some fun.

Still one of the best looking M cars ever in my opinion.

I agree, I think I am old enough to say this now "they don't make them like they used to" Its also an M car that looks so much better in the metal than it does in pictures which is unusual, unlike the E46 M3 that really does look good in pictures as well as photos!
