Cars been in at the detailers since Tuesday. Just collected it this afternoon. After saying I wouldn’t, I decided to just get the thing ceramic coated like most of my previous cars. Can’t put up with swirls on black paint any longer so anything help keep them at bay!

Looks great!

I think PPF is always a debate, but ceramic coating essential.

Forget all the debate about 'protection' from stone chips/supermarket dings etc., just worth it for how easier it is to clean and how it looks cleaner for longer.

This is mine at a month off two years old after a clean today and yes, it has the odd stone chip (not many), but it still looks pretty good, which I have to thank the ceramic for...

Very nice, do you think the graphene is as good?

We (my detailer really, but I held the bottle) applied on the boot only as a test, because it holds water due to the spoiler and was water spotting. The graphene stopped that, but the overall gleam wasn't as good in our opinion, so left it from the rest of the body apart from the lower carbon bits to add more protection.

Maybe it’s because of over-washing but I find that the car needs done every 12-18months. I’m not sold on ceramic or anything other than PPF having any kind of physical protection from stone chips and scratches to be honest but the long lasting gloss is great and any kind of help in preventing swirls even at a microscopic level can’t do any harm.

I won’t have a black car again. I’m just to fussy about the overall finish. This is my third with the last one being over a decade ago and I forgot how soft it is.

Does look great when it’s clean and shines though.

Here’s another one that really shows the shine off along the side of the car

I love black cars but as a garage queen, I’ll never have another again. It’s a lifestyle keeping one looking nice. They look stunning once cleaned, polished and waxed……for about 2 hours, when there’s a grey sheen on it with dust.
