For me, the iconic M cars were all racers, rather than road cars...
The first works car I saw racing was the Gp5 320 Turbo that ran at Silverstone in the 1978 6 hours... Peterson and Stuck, driving... Unfortunately well beaten by Singer's 935/78... The car had more success in IMSA than the World Championship of Makes..
I loved the GpA E30 M3's... Everything a touring car should be to me...
The 2001 M3 GTR racer was pretty special...
But, I think, the one I most like is the 1999/2000 V12 LMR...
Looking forwards to next year's GTP car...
