The names Fett, Boba Fett. I am from Kent, I am into everything I can't really afford. I am a proper petrolhead and change my cars quite a bit, and my wifes says I am the best person to buy a car off, as I mod it, make it perfect then get bored and want something else. I get most of my magazines from the last train home in the week, so it would be nice to win, so I don't have dribble and sick on the pages!

My current toy is an F430 Spider in resale red. This car unlike others I have owned has been hard to mod, as genuine parts like Scuderia bits, wheels and Carbon cost an absolute fortune, however, over a few months I have managed to get it where I want it to be and thanks to keeping an eye out for E-bay bargains it has not proved to be that wallet emptying so far .

I’m Mr EvilDrPorkChop, and here’s my entry. I had to do a detour to get this photo, by the time I’d got there the clouds had arrived. You might just be able to spot Blackpool tower in the background if you squint hard enough. The Mrs actually refused to get out the car, but said she’d slouch down 🤣

I'm Ian, from Derbyshire but living in Herts. Old, with grandkids. This is my daily, its almost a BMW..... Now 6.5 years old, done about 28k miles, a bit tatty round the edges as its my daily and does the station and supermarket runs.

But it has so much sentimental value, it was my daughters from new for first almost 4 years, she had to upgrade when second grandson came along..... It was also the last thing my late wife did before she died, never fetched her own new cars but insisted and going to fetch this. And she loved Minis...

As do i.

Here it was getting its biannual clean!

I’m MashinBenzin from Bristol. In Persian that means petrol car (although I mangled the grammar).

It’s obvious, then, that my daily is a hulking 2.5t diesel Discovery. A luxurious and cosseting brilliant family car, that I really should sell before the doom predicted by @JD6 in another thread wiped out its value.

My favourite photo of it, sat in front of a terrace at Bristol Cathedral. I love the light catching the side of it. And a couple of photos of the inside as I love it.

It was more question than a prediction, but in the end I ran the X5 until it was 7 years old and got back about what I would have expected. The fact that it was a V8 petrol X5 exacerbated the fall as they fell completely out of favour - I don't think diesel ones suffered quite the same fate.

I think the forum is just set to the default settings on editing and there's a time limit. Couple of folk have mentioned it now though so maybe the Janitor can have a look at it @Deutschespeed?

The forum software demands a time limit is stipulated on post editing but I’ve managed to change it from 60 minutes to 48 hours.

My daily is an S4 B9, then it’s my recently acquired Triumph Herald, the C32 AMG that I’ve barely used (and so will be for sale soon 👀) and then the dream car which needs some work - the XJS V12.

She’s a beauty, 69k miles, interior in very good condition and not “cracked” to pieces like my grandads 1990 XJS. Could do with some work but it’ll come in time.
