Tyre Kicker
This was the car that pretty much started it off for me, hence my username. My first ever "halo" car, never mind my first ever M car. Kept this one pretty much standard apart from wrapping a couple of bits. A freak accident driving over a a hidden rock at the side of a road burst the DCT sump and resulted in a £15,000 repair - the dealer wouldn't repair the sump and insisted on a new gearbox. Car was leased and I didn't want take any chances so had to claim the insurance!
Loved this car. Loved the sound and the engine. Not as torquey as more modern beasts but this was the first car to really make every drive feel special. Only it's drab interior let it down in my opinion. BMW have really stepped up their game on interior design since the E92 but if I were to have another I'd probably go for contrasting leather of some kind rather than the black on black that I had with this one.
Finished in Individual Moonstone metallic with the colour listed as "yellow" on the V5. Photographs never did it justice, really was a beautifully subtle but complex colour in the flesh.
