I’ve lent my TTS to my business partner for a few weeks until either my M5 sells or his Taycan arrives, as they’re down to one car at the minute.

He had a mishap with a chunk of metal on a B road which scrapped the tyre. The tin of tyre- gloop in the boot would have been useless. He had to wait for the AA to take him to the nearest tyre place and stick a budget tyre on it and now it’ll need a Yokohama Advan to match the rest.

Morale of the story is, the next TT project will be ordering up the parts to install the space saver wheel kit under the boot floor!

Good on you to lend him your car but gutting it’s ended up with you needing a new tyre. He was lucky a tyre place was open when it happened . Never been a fan of those.tyre repair kits so I treated the car to this just before xmas.

That’s exactly what I’m going to get. Got the parts list so going to order everything up.

I found the complete unused set on EBay. They were collection only down in West Sussex but I got really lucky as they were advertised just before xmas when I happened to be down there and were only 15 miles from where I was staying.

Its raised the boot floor on mine by about an inch but given I don’t use it that much that was a trade off I was more than happy to make.

Took about 10 mins to fit, the biggest challenge being the old insert had ideas about not wanting to come out🤣

The M5 is gone but I got the TTS back today around the same time and got to use my new pressure washer on it. Time to spend a wee bit of money on it. New brakes I think, spare wheel kit and an intake.

Ordered full set of Brembo Xtra discs and pads same as @Denso and the Racing Line induction kit last night. Looking forward to fitting those.

Too impatient and I’ve made an arse of lining it up so I’ll need to adjust it but quite like the overall effect. Will need to reposition it at the weekend though.

I went black, its hard to see in photos but looks really good. The graphics I bought look like they are embossed in the Plastic



Need to zoom in, as you cant see it!

it’s a fucker to line up when the letters aren’t supplied on a proper backing sheet. I’m going to have to take them off and do a proper job.

Been there done that! The Q and the TT's make it awkward to get it centered, I did mine all individually after ruining one graphic, good job I bought two!

Think I'd like to get the TTS letters done in Vegas yellow to match. I don't fancy masking and spraying them though. Its a proper OEM badge and I dont want to end up scrapping it if I make an arse of it.
