I know what you mean. I think I'd have kept my Golf R for longer if it hadn't been a manual. Sitting in traffic on the morning commute was just a ballache, but I won't be using this for that.

Even a Saturday and Sunday "dan saff" is like commuting now. Bloody roads are so busy!

It’s not much better “oop north” these days. Early morning or late evening required. Not to mention the standard of driving is extremely poor. Your average punter these days suffers from indecisiveness and lack of confidence or lack of due care and attention.
Need to avoid other humans to get a good hoon.
Having said that, although the result of my lunchtime trip was disappointing, I did have a bit of fun on the way back.
Proper quick! If the other cars did not know about the M5, that must have thought WTF! that was a 4 door!
