What’s wrong with it?? 😱😱😱
Looks like I have a leak on the F1 gearbox pump as it’s thrown all its fluid onto the road and it shut the car down no gears!!

Got to love the AA, I told them it needs recovery, its not going to be fixed, but their policy is they send a van out first to see if they can fix it!! Mr I know if you have run out of fuel turns up 2.5 hours later, with a 10 second assessment that it needs recovery, so then waited another 2.5 hours for the truck to arrive!

We now have experienced new heights of embarrassment - breaking down in a bright red ferrari !!

The guy with the recovery truck was excellent really careful and caring, the Block who came first in the AA van was just a knob!

Its a Ferrari its gonna cost a fortune I'm sure of it!!

Oh no sorry to see that boba 😮

Thanks, I guess it was inevitable with a quality Italian product!

Its in Ferrari now, suspected burst hose which is quite common, due to age and the way its routed!

Gah nightmare. I remember when the alternator went on my TVR the 1 and only time anything went wrong! I was on a dual carriage way and same thing happened, I specifically said they need to get a low loader as it can't be towed to which they sent a van....

Same as (many years ago) when the cam belt was stripped by a seized water pump. The somewhat unmistakable sound of valves meeting pistons...but you still have to wait for the diagnosis of a 'man with a van' before the low loader is dispatched.

Seems many of us have been there. I had my expansion tank go pop on me in the delights of Tottenham once. Told the RAC it was unrecoverable and needs a low loader to get me home. But nope. 3 hours for the bloke in the van to tell me what I'd told them 3 hours ago and another 3.5 hours for the low loader to eventually turn up. That was not a good day!

Sorry to see one of my favourites off the road here but hopefully you'll have it up and running again soon enough!

Think there’s maybe something to be said for paying the premium for manufacture specific breakdown cover.

Just found this. It’s an old article @boba fett but wonder if it’s still on the go?

Thanks I'm planning on this not being a regular event! When recovered and by the time they turned up there was no garages open to take the car, the AA tried to charge me £125 to pick the car up again and £4.50 a mile!! So I said I wanted to leave the AA because they took so long to get me that there was no where to take the car and I was very unhappy with the service, all of a sudden they are collected it Monday (Just gone) and it can go where ever I wanted!

The same guy collected it, he was brilliant, and off it went!!

They are starting on the car today, so hoping its not to wallet emptying! One guy on the Ferrari forum had the same issues, the burst hose took out his F1 Actuator as he limped it home and his bill so far is $16k  That is a Ferrari main dealer and have charged him $6k for the hoses, $7k for the F1 actuator + labour and Tax!

EBay advert drafted already: Spares or Repair…

Hopefully it’ll work out a lot less for you Boba. Did you consider taking it to an independent?

Sorry, late to the thread... Nothing to add except "hard luck" and that I hope it is not a stupidly expensive fix...
