Was musing over hatchbacks earlier.
Homed in on Civic Type Rs. Thinking could be a nice option, with a nod to family/ dog. Then I noticed they all seem to be 4 seaters - why do makers do that? Can’t be a huge weight / cost saving but surely rules out many buyers..

Many of my cars have been four seaters in the back. Before kids I used to like it as it made the car a bit sportier but I’d rather have five seats now.
