You do get dust it’s just light grey instead of the black stuff from normal pads.

If they continue to make noise, I would swap out for normal discs and then replace when you come to sell.

I’ve seen a fair bit of comment online about issues with bmw carbon braces squealing recently. It looked like replacing pads sorted it in the short term but it’s definitely something that crops up a lot, not ideal!
It doesn’t happen with all ceramics so it shouldn't be right, mine don’t make any noise really whether driven slowly or hard. Hope the shims do the trick 🤞

Excessive brake noise - BMW refusing to fix
I have a 5 month old G82, the past few weeks the brake noise (squeaking/squealing) has been particularly bad. It gets worse as the brakes warm up.
